This time next year, we should be back in NC. No more army. We’ll be getting the hang of civilian life. No deployments. No more field trainings. No more bags of gear. Just my husband, and I with our dog and kitty. And hopefully a baby. We will be near his family and far from mine. It’s ok, because NC is a beautiful and loving place to be. My family will always be welcome to visit. We chose NC, because his family is a lot bigger than mine. I trust them and I can trust them with our future chip(ren). We chose NC because its a better area to raise our future child(ren) and also more opportunities for husband. He can go into firefighting, into law enforcement, he can go work at Lowes. A lot of options. He was born and raised there and I really like it there. Yes, I will miss it here and I’ll miss my family, but its just not where my husband wants to be. It’s understandable though. Traffic sucks, the weather is rainy. It’s city. He’s a southern country guy. NC is a great place.
